Eve Ewing grew up in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood. After completing her elementary and high school education at Chicago Public Schools, she earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago. She returned to Chicago Public Schools to teach language arts before attending Harvard’s Graduate School of Education where she earned a doctorate degree.
